Four new faces are set for The Witcher‘s now-filming third season. Robbie Amell (The Flash), Christelle Elwin (Bloods), Hugh Skinner (Harlots), and Meng’er Zhang (Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings) will make their way to the Continent, and most of them are playing characters known to readers of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books.

THE WITCHER Season 3 cast is getting even bigger:

Amell plays Gallatin, a fighter (aren’t they all?) who “leads an army of guerrilla Scoia’tael fighting on behalf of Nilfgaard.”
Elwin is the street-smart Mistle, a member of the Rats, a gang of teenage thieves. In the books, she takes an interest in a captive Ciri.
Skinner is Prince Radovid, a “royal playboy” and the younger brother of King Vizimir. (There are several Radovids in the Witcher world; I think this is Radovid III?) Netflix explains, “Radovid finds himself suddenly a man on the inside of the Redanian Intelligence. With his good looks and often drunken charm, Radovid surprises with how incisive he can be in matters of politics, but it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.”
Zhang—who was excellent as Shang-Chi’s sister, Xialing—plays Milva, a huntress and archer who is taken in by the dryads of Brokilon Forest. “Those that cross her, do so at their own peril,” Netflix says.
There’s no release date for season three yet, but Netflix has offered a summary:
As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.
You can, of course, watch the first two seasons of The Witcher on Netflix whenever you see fit.
